An innovative, first-of-its-kind public art installation in Beverly Hills, combining multi-surface and digital intervention. In 2019, Skanska brought us on board to develop a mural for their new office building in Beverly Hills. The city council was thrilled when they heard we wanted to bring something innovative to the traditional public art scene of Beverly Hills. Heather Day, a painter who is passionate about incorporating new forms of technology into her work, was a flawless match for the project.
The playful shapes dip behind the glass at the first row of windows, creating a sense of dimension. As they reach the top, flashes of colors and brushstrokes flicker across 24 digital screens. We worked closely with Heather to translate her artwork across these different surfaces by developing a custom frame system for the digital screens. An Instagram AR filter transposes Heather’s artwork by allowing the user to paint their own brushstrokes into the environment.
